Abstract

In modern Russia, the beginning of the struggle for technological sovereignty is usually counted from the beginning of the 2000s, when a number of experts and politicians drew attention to dependence on foreign technologies, especially in the information sphere. One of the key events was the scandal with Huawei products, which were banned for use by US military and government agencies due to suspicions of espionage. This pushed Russian politicians towards a tougher policy regarding the use of foreign technologies.
